If you are looking for a picturesque wedding venue in Hudson Valley Troutbeck should be on your list. Troutbeck is located on 250 acres in the Hudson Valley just two hours away from New York City. Its gorgeous interiors as well as its many outdoor venues make it a perfect choice for those who love the finer aspects of life.
The Hudson Valley venue was the setting for a beautiful violet and gold inspiration shoot. It was created by an experienced team of wedding vendors from New York City and Connecticut and photographed by Mary Dougherty a New York-based photographer who is also a member of fine art curating.
Mary explains that ” our models are real couples Briar & Jon who were married at City Hall and plan a large celebration in the next year or so with family and friends from abroad.”
The landscape at Troutbeck was wild and unspoiled and this gave us freedom to experiment with other spring-like elements. The unexpected color combinations along with the vast greenery of the land allowed us to create a fresh way to celebrate this season filled with flowers. Colors of spring were used with mauve and blue in particular against an emerald green background. ”
The ceremony took place on the lawn with flowers that appeared to grow naturally out of the wall. Heart and Soil Flowers designed the airy and light designs. This included an organic bouquet filled with delicate flowers and movement. A velvet tablecloth added contrast to Troutbeck’s architecture. Over gold-rimmed glasses mauve linen and purple poppies the table was adorned with poppies.
Our creative jewelry designer bride set the mood with an unexpected combination of a gold silk Leanne Marsh dress and purple Manolo Blahnik heels. The color scheme was more elegant and cohesive when paired with the settings. Briar was able to elevate her look with sheer gloves by Everthine Bridal. Julie Occhino luxury beauty gave Briar the perfect wave and a clean fresh look. “
