Italy is a country we love with its incredible food and wines to the beautiful landscapes and churches filled with art. Italy is divided into many regions. From the small towns on Lake Como to rural Sicily and the wilds in the middle of the country. But Tuscany is our favorite for destination weddings and honeymoons. This is Italy’s dream. It has easy access rolling hills rows of neat cypresses trees beautiful stone villas and castles from medieval times that look down on the valleys.
After their wedding Elena and Sebastian traveled to the amazing Villa Montanare for a 10 day honeymoon.
According to Weddings by Silke “Elena from Germany and Sebastian were dreaming of a Tuscany wedding for years. They decided that they would get married in Germany in July 2020 at least in an area which resembled Tuscany.
It was an exciting time due to Coronavirus and the couple didn’t know until the last minute whether their wedding will actually take place. After months of ups and downs they finally made it to their honeymoon. They usually travel to Hawaii but since they couldn’t travel to America they looked for a romantic getaway in Tuscany …”
Elena the bride: “Villa Montanare was the perfect place for our honeymoon. It is the most beautiful place we’ve ever been.” We were pleasantly surprised in all aspects. The interior and exterior of the house have been decorated with attention to aesthetics and detail.
There are several places to dine alfresco with views of Tuscany. The outdoor space is also a wonderful place for an intimate dinner. Both were a culinary experience of the highest order – delicious dishes served in an elegant setting which was decorated to our liking. The rooms were very cool and we had a great night’s sleep every time.
Villa Montanare is a great starting point to explore the nearby cities. Florence Assisi Cortona Siena). The pool was also a delight. Also the hosts got top marks. Silke and Andreas were very warm we enjoyed spending time with them. From the beginning we felt like friends. We’ll be back again soon !”
